I have a final coming up in my medical law and ethics class....Please read and give me some ideas please?

A:  Ahh, I remember these. I did mine on Physician assisted suicide and created a fictional case study about a woman with terminal bone cancer requesting it. Some other ideas: Using gender selection when undergoing In Vitro Real cases of ethical dilemmas, such as the Terri Schiavo case Late term abortions for woman with life-threatening conditions, right or wrong... ect. How to reduce the Moral Hazard of a direct relationship of medical doctors giving more services and medical doctors receiving hire income. Stem cell research would be a great one. Q:

Agent and broker complaints

A:  Househunter, There is a process for real estate complaints. Unfortunately, it appears you have bypassed the first step...the broker. With this said the next step should be the local board of realtors. This agency will investigate all reported concerns involving legal and ethical issues. Be sure your information is accurate and you have a means by which to prove your alligations. We are sorry you had an unfortunate real estate experience. I would try both. The department of commerce generally handles the legal side of things and the board of realtors is charged with enforcing the realtor''s code of ethics (ethical matters) in a real estate transaction. Do...

Q:

If I am unhappy with my agent, can I contact the sellers agent directly to make an offer on a property?

A:  John - Like anything else, it is your right to use any agent you want to purchase a property. As others have suggested, you should talk to the agent and / or their broker to see if you cannot work something out. Maybe the Broker can help you find another agent to work with within the same Brokerage - here''s why; You said --- "However, I''m concerned about potential legal and ethical issues if I make an offer on a second property through a new agent when the first agent originally showed me the property." Your current agent showed you the property and whether you have a buyer agreement or not that agent will most probably be due the commission under...

Q:

I suspect I am going to be fired/replaced. Rights (if any)?

A:  "1) Can they fire me outright? I assume it will be under the guise of my position now needing to be FULL-TIME due to company growth and I work Part-time. By the way they have not asked me if I would be interested in going full-time." Yes. They don't have to give you a reason, as long as it isn't one that is prohibited by law. They don't have to ask you if you want to go full time they can just seek a full time employee. "2) I assume they could also "restructure" the department and offer me another position within the company. If thay is the case, does it have to be at the same rate of pay? Same hours?" They could but they don't have to and it can be at whatever rate of...

A:  "I realized that several of the key managers behaved in an unprofessional manner, Specifically, the mangers were not treating employees with respect, committed acts of favoritism, grossly neglected staff, failed to communicate, coach or develop employees and managed by fear and intimidation." Legal. Legal. Legal, unless based on a protected characteristic. Legal. Legal. Legal. Who waited the longest for Med & PCC request?

A:  Hello Quite keen to see how long everybody waited or is still waiting for their requests, and whether there is a pattern, i.e. when you did get your request - was there any specific additional information that they wanted - i.e. it took longer to get your med requests because they were pondering over a specific issue on your application. besides... got to keep my mind busy with something during this very painful period of waiting :-) Its been 12 weeks now since we lodged our application. 14weeks today and no request yet, non-modl , not frontloaded 14weeks today and no request yet, non-modl , not frontloaded Ours has taken 19 weeks... Q:

ethical question ! we pay $10 for a movie at the theaters but we get to watch 20min ad !?

A:  Movie theaters make NO money from the admission price. It all goes straight to the producers of the film. So that is why you pay $10 for popcorn and have to watch forevers worth of previews, since that is where all their income comes from. i always just show up like 15min late to every movie. I haven''t miss the opening of a film yet. program deprogram reprogram thats why I sneak in the theater I''m sure you could ask what time the actual movie starts and just show up then. You aren''t required to watch the commercials since they still let you in the theater at any time. Basically, they are giving you a general time the movie will start, and you are paying money to access the theater at any time...

Q:

Please Help!! Ethics question?

A:  Why would I read all of that? Do your OWN homework! Kids and their laziness and their music and their cocaine habits. Mr. Blair has only one ethical option. He must report infractions through proper channels (superiors have superiors). Will he be harassed? …without a doubt. Will he be fired? … maybe. Whistleblower laws are supposed to protect him. Mr. Cross can publish the ensuing drama. This type of complacent, non-action is one of the reasons there is corruption. People care more about covering their butt than doing the right thing....

Q:

Is online downloading of music ethically right or wrong ?whatever happened with www.napster.com wz fine or not?

A:  music, in my opinion, should be unable to be copyrighted, as it is after all music. Imagine had David Scott Keys charged everyone $2.00 to play the Star Spangled Banner before every major league baseball game? Also, how enforceable is it to download music and share it with your friends? Pretty hard to find and trace that kind of stuff. It''s like before every NFL game, where they always say "This game is copyrighted and property of the NFL. Rebroadcast is exclusively forbidden". Yea right. go after the developers of Limewire, Bittorent/uTorrent, shareaza, eMule and all other p2p...

Q:

violator of code of ethics? please a little advice

A:  Based on what you posted and taking into consideration we don't know his side of the story, there always are two sides, and since you did not post the state you are in, despite the request to do so, the best we can say it looks at least like an ethical violation. Consult a local malpractice attorney. complicated issues! I think you need to speak to a legal malpractice attorney. Also, I just found a book at the library called Attorney Responsibility and client rights by Suzan Singer. Very helpful information....
