Q:

Capias Issued Five years ago.?

A:  If it''s only a misdemeanor charge, you have a good chance of only being cited into court (given a date to appear before the judge). Your best bet would be to call and inquire on the warrant and find out what needs to be done to resolve it. If you go to court and can honestly tell the judge that you turned yourself in, instead of law enforcement having to bring you in, it could help your case. It is a possibility that you could be required to post a bond, it all depends on the charge. I was able to find help from these attorneys here - www.lawyersearchhome.tk...

Q:

do it yourself adoption?

A:  Define "super hard." Is this an interstate or intrastate adoption? What is the legal background of the person wanting to do this? What is the educational level of the person wanting to do this? How much time does the person have to devote to legal research on the subject? If the person thinks that it is a matter of finding the paperwork at the local stationary store and filling in the blanks on a form--they are in for an eye opener. When one or more legal hoops are not jumped through correctly and the adoption cannot be granted, how upset is the person going to be with the faillure? [ My legal opinion: termination of parental rights and adoption are not do-it-yourself projects. I have seen licensed lawyers screw up this up and the adoptive parents first...

Q:

Police Career & Job - How Much Does a Police Officer in Raleigh, North Carolina Make?

A:  Based on experience, police officers make between $34,281 to $52,793 (in Raleigh, NC) and $33,000 to $40,404 (in Durham, NC). The federal stimulus for law enforcement benefits Durham & Raleigh the most, which also have the largest police departments in the region. Raleigh receives the most applications for police jobs and the number has jumped 50% since last year. Personally, I feel hiring may freeze for a while but will continue in law enforcement hubs across the country. The need for good officers is always there. Good luck with your oral board preparation!...

Q:

Clemencies, Full Pardons, Etc in Florida

A:  This is what I found on Florida Department of law enforcement's website: 11. If I receive a full pardon can I have my criminal history record sealed or expunged? Unless the pardon indicates on its face that it entitles the record subject to seal or expunge his or her criminal history record, the granting of a full pardon does not remove any condition of ineligibility for sealing or expunging a criminal history record imposed by the disposition of the pardoned offense. See Randall v. Florida Department of law enforcement, 791 So. 2d 1238 (Fla. 1st DCA 2001). 12. If I receive clemency, will my record be automatically expunged? No. Neither a full pardon, nor any other type of clemency,...

Q:

Copyright infringement for profit?

A:  Who is "someone" and what is their relationship to the forum? What are the T&Cs of the forum, describing rights to and ownership of postings? The someone was a member of the forums at the time, although not a liked one. There were also blog entries and blog comments copied into the book. There were a number of sources for her book filler. The reason I ask now is because there''s a "Part 2" in the works. Aren''t my words just that? MY words? Who is she to take MY words and make money from what I say? For the record, the book sold less than ten copies, I''m sure. I happen to have a copy on CD. I don''t know the rules and regulations of all the sources she used. I do know that anything she took from my own blog was against my own rules, but I''m sure that doesn''t make...

Q:

Might this be happening in other areas?

A:  It very well could be happening in other places---rarely does something like this happen just once. There are scam-artists everywhere in the world. Adoption is no different. Its sure seems like its a common theme within adoption. Its a given that there are a lot of criminals within the baby brokering business, can''t imagine how desperate someone has to be to do business with them and fund their criminal activities. ''These sworn affidavits are itemized accountings of how the agency spent each adoptive couple’s money, often large sums of “birth mother expenses” paid to the birth parents.'' ''According to the investigation conducted by the Florida Department of law enforcement, West and her agency collected birth mother expenses from...

Q:

Infraction Ticket for 21453(D) CVC RED LIGHT--Q

A:  Do what the cop told you to do. It''s more than hint. You show, because he won''t. He gave you a break. Show up Thursday. Don''t mention what he said to you. Play dumb. This isn''t gonna cost you anything but time!! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk I realize he gave me a very strong hint, but I tend to play devils advocate. Assuming he will show up if I fight it, what options do I have in regards to getting the ticket dismissed and or fine lowered/possible chance for community service? What are the best ways of going about this? Thanks, Bryant You really have little chance of it getting dismissed unless the officer does not show. You admit to committing the violation. So, short of committing the more serious crime of perjury, you have no real defense if the officer testifies to...

Q:

Will police give up, not bother? Or still go in party?

A:  In 1973 we had the National Guard assist us, they flew us into a party in the Mountains, in Chinooks and Huey Helicopters. We rappelled into the sight. Another force was sent in with 45 tow trucks so all had to walk home as it was illegal to park near . or around a National park after hours of operation. Where there is a will there is a way how about you graduate 8th grade before you party! I would imagine the police will get to your party location the same way you get to the party location. It really depends on the strictness of your county''s laws, as well as the actual level of threat that the police perceive. If it''s rather mellow then they might just come by and stick around for a bit to make sure nothing gets crazy. If the party leads to vandalism, violence,...

Q:

Is this Fair??

A:  Custody issues are determined by the court's perception of the "best interests of the children". The reality is she can be a lousy spouse, but a great mother. You are feeling hurt and betrayed by her infidelty. But, your feelings don't address of the issue of "what are the best interests of the children". If she has been the primary caretaker of the children during the marriage, you might have trouble convincing a court that it is in their best interest to live with you. Having said that, you have the right to file for custody as does she. Custody battles can be nasty and they can be expensive. I am not suggesting that you give up here, but you need to be realistic if you think that she will oppose you. You also need to analyze this one as to what you think...

Q:

International adoption question?

A:  School project? I don''t buy it. What project is next? ''Which countries are most vulnerable to destabilization efforts?'' ''What ethnic group is least likely to protest being deported without due process?'' ''What are the positive effects of torturing rendered individuals?'' ''Get a baby''? This isn''t shopping at WalMart. Right now, there''s about a zero chance of an international adoption of an infant being completed in under a year, in any country. The ones with the most corruption and dealing in stolen babies have the shortest ''waiting'' times. Guatamala and China would be top of the list Heather, not debating that there is corruption in either Guatemala or China, but for clarification, the wait for China right now is LOOOOOONNNNNGGG. Like 5 years. ETA: Yeah, I don''t know what the...
