Q:

Hello everyone i really need help with this case ?

A:  Sniff, sniff. Still smells like homework to me. If it were really true, the health and safety exec would be involved with a view to prosecution mmmmm, stacychloe, forgive me if I am wrong, but if you were really trying to help your best friend, I would have expected the questions to be:- 1) does she have a claim 2) what is that claim 3) who does she sue 4) what is the likely quantum 5) how to pursue that claim. This sounds horribly like a bit of law homework dressed up to sound like a genuine problem. Generally people could not give a fiddlers about your three points. They want to know the points you have listed above. I am always willing to help people where I can, but it is extremely difficult when people are not completely honest. ...

Does both parents have to agree to allow 17 yr old to move out? Texas

A:  I wanted to know, if my daughter is 17 and she lives with her Father but we have "joint custody" but the father is the custodial parent. Does my daughter have to have both mine and her fathers approval to move out of her fathers home at the age of 17? I live in Calif and she would like to move in with her 19 yr old boyfriend and his parents. I think it would be in her best interest to do that but I doubt her father will agree. Does the law state both parents have to agree? Can it be just one parent that allows it, and further more the NON custodial parent? Please advise, Thank you Her boyfriend lives in Texas as well. I answered this over here: http://www.laborlawtalk.com/showthread.php?t=5321&page=6...

What can I expect? Maryland

A:  At the end of his examinaton, I asked him if he could tell me what he was going to report to workers comp. He said that he was going to tell them that the treatments so far haven''t been working thus far. I said "thats it?" and he said "basically". This was an IME doctor, not your treating physician. The WC carrier just wanted an independent medical evalulation of your current medical status and whether your treatment to date was providing any benefit. There''s nothing to be concerned about in how the doctor responded. I guess what I want to know is how much of a settlement can I expect? Nobody here could even hazard a guess. It will depend on your degree of permanent impairment when you reach end of healing (whenever that may be), whether you...

I don''t know what to do, I really need legal advice i''m terrified. You should plead not guilty. If you can''t afford a lawyer, ask the court to appoint one to defend you. In some states when you''re charged with low level crimes, the court may not offer you a court appointed attorney. Then you''d...

Child Support - What's Included?

A:  "John" <jrager...dos.state.ny.us> wrote in message news:bj7vkv4m6289siff8avfh91da4tjku8juu...4ax.com... I live in NY state, where the child support requirement is 25% for two children. I have verbally agreed to paying the mortgage, realty taxes and homeowners insurance in addition to providing child support. What I need to know is, how much of child support is already allocated to housing costs? There must be some guideline that was used to come up with the standard percentages, and I''m certain that some portion of the housing costs I''m agreeing to pay are already included in child support. I just don''t want to pay twice for something. Thank you very much for any information. One of the giant vagaries of child support is...

My husband isn''t accepting that I want a divorce

A:  "I am just nervous to "serve" him while we still live together." Just a note: you cannot do the service yourself. You need someone who is at least 18 and not a party to the action. As for your nervousness, if he won't agree to move, you have three choices: (1) drop it; (2) serve him while you're still living together; (3) move out yourself. "I can't really afford to move out unless I know exactly how much CS I will be getting." I don't mean to be argumentative, but who says you'll be getting child support? In other words, why is it a foregone conclusion that you'll be getting primary physical custody? In any case, you don't get child support until the court awards you physical...

discrimination, harassment, retaliation, what are my rights? California

A:  That big block of text is very hard to read. Please edit it to include some paragraphs and white space if you want answers. Ok in Jan. 06 I was moved from full time salary to part time/32 hours a week (not by my choice) because of medical appointments and missed work as a result of a back injury on June 05 on my way home from work not work related, they gave me a raise in hourly pay and I lost my vacation, holiday pay, benefits and only receive a wage. I had told my supervisor I would be receiving a series of shots over the next 90 days (Jan to March) which would resolve the back issue and I would be able to move forward without missing work or any restriction other than a follow up appointment every 90 days or so, the next day the company attorney and my manager...

Assault 3rd Degree- With Pysical Injury( A Misdemeanor)

A:  >>>>I think it would cost the state alot of money and time to prosecute a 5 year old Class A Misdemeanor. Wouldn't that be a novel idea? Anyone charged with a crime can just "get out of dodge" and, after enough time passes, urge the court that it would be too expensive and inconvenient to try the case? In fact, your flight will increase the evidence against you. It will likely be argued that it reflects a consiousness of guilt; that being, that you knew you committed the crime and fled instead of facing the consequences. While a local attorney might be able to assist you in mitigating the damage, without an attitude change, you might end up with more than the original 60 days. >>>>For many reasons which I will not go into I thought 30 days...
