Q:

attorney/Legal Intern help please?

A:  Choosing a career is one of life''s most important decisions. The legal profession is dramatically changing and is in CRISIS!. Every year, more and more people graduate from law school, but there are fewer and fewer jobs. Even the largest and most reputable law firms are experiencing unprecedented cutbacks. I don''t expect the situation to improve in the coming years..... Be aware of what you are proposing on getting yourself into. Please do more research first. Reminder: We are in a World-wide Recession. Consider career paths that have available JOBS. Jobs in the field of Law are drying up fast!! This is just not a good field to invest time and/or money into. This is a SHRINKING, crumbling, and dying vocational field. Many reasons. We now have computers. So, many people today (mistakenly)...

Q:

What are my Legal Rights with this attorneys Preferred Please help with your answers?

A:  I am not an attorney, only a law student - beginning. However it sounds as though you should seek help from a lawyer as soon as possible. Assault is a crime. Your management sounds weak to say the least. You need to get help before you really get hurt. It is right to document everything, but your safety may be at risk. Being right is not worth a serious injury. You may need to leave if this is not resolved, for your own safety. This is advanced bullying - criminal activity. It is NOT OK....

Q:

Any suggestion''s on a attorney that works for free? Like legal aid, in Oakland county michigan?

A:  Call your local (usually county) bar association and ask them for the phone number for your local LegalAid office. Good luck to you. just go through the phonebook and ask people to do it probono. Call the bar association and ask about any legal aid and if you qualify or not. Most judges look down unfavorably when you go to court w/out a lawyer and could go against you. The fact that you maybe low income does not matter and if you don''t qualify for legal aide, I suggest you see if your parents can loan you money for a lawyer to represent you. That is what a lot of people do, they go to family and ask for help. But you are fighting for your son, and if you go to court w/out a lawyer, may lose. If the father has a lawyer, they will do everything to fight this. What...

Q:

attorney CLIENT PRIVILEGE help

A:  It's really unclear why this is on the criminal law board. Generally, attorney-client privilege prevents the attorney from revealing confidences, i.e. what the client told them. It doesn't stop the attorney from saying anything else such as personal impressions, etc. Your first attorney can talk to the second one without a waiver. He just cannot reveal anything you said to him directly, i.e. "I did it" without you agreeing the information can be shared. That he negotiated with the DA for a plea deal is not privileged....

Q:

help! My husband is being sued in SCC-michigan

A:  Your personal issues are irrelevant to the creditor. And you can forget anybody going along with 25 per month when the creditor can just file the wage garnishment and get the whole debt paid in two or three paychecks. Yes, they can garnish wages without the employee's consent. The court orders it and the employer complies. That's the whole idea behind garnishment. It gives the creditor the guaranteed payment when all else has failed. You've already seen the consequences of not paying. The debt grew from 500 to 800 and will continue to grow with fees and costs the longer you leave this unresolved. Sorry, I can't be more optimistic. But, what is, is. "But when we made our Motion for Installment Payments, they wrote a letter saying that we NEVER tried to contact...

Q:

help in Stalling lawsuit?

A:  is going to help you circumvent the law or your responsibility. Also, you''re not specific on "I returned the car..." What does that mean? did you give them back the car and they still want the full amount? Did you return the car after being sent the letter? Whatever the case, you''re still responsible for the payment and that''s the way that cookie crumbles.... Of course you can always hope the people who sent you the letter are complete idiots and "forget" to file the suit for payment....I wouldn''t count on the kindness of strangers in this case. You''re not Blanch Dubois and this ain''t a streetcar...

Q:

Please help On a lawsuit

A:  yhuang: OK, I'll rephrase my answer. "Anyone could give me any idea on how else this may be solved?" There is no other legal way of solving this without hiring a lawyer in Oklahoma and filing a lawsuit. Do you like that better? If you think there is something in between demanding the money and filing a lawsuit, I'd sure be glad to read your comments, since you obviously know more about this than I do. Good luck....
