Q:

I filed I-751 (kind of) late. How long does it take?

A:  If you are lucky you might get a receipt from your Service Center in a week stating that they accepted your application. The same paper will also say that your current green card is extended for a year, travel and work authorized. So, even if you''re not that lucky you should be fine by Sep :) Originally posted by ChubCheek Hello Group, I just got a chance to send out a package to file for an extension to my greencard (remove conditon). My greencard expires in September...very first week of September :( Within 1 month, will I get some sort of confirmation or replacement card to show my employee that my greencard will be renewed? How long does it take for immigrants of haiti to get to miami on a boat?

A:  It depends on how good swimmers they are-how fast they can swim & tow that empty boat behind them..(no joke, that`s how smart they are.).. hope its more than 50 years-so I`ll be gone by time they arrive-and don`t have to put up with more illegal "darlings" like them. It Depends On How Fast The Wind Is Blowing As For You Other Question Cubans Are Political Refugees Seeking Asylum From An Oppressive Government, They Are NOT Illegal Aliens Right of asylum (or political asylum) is an ancient juridical notion, under which a person persecuted for political opinions or religious beliefs in his or her own country may be protected by another sovereign authority, a foreign country, or Church sanctuaries The United Nations 1951 Convention Relating to the Status of Refugees and the 1967...

Q:

How long does it take?

A:  This seems to depend entirely on where you live. Where I live, kinship placements are handled by a different department entirely, and because kinship placements are preferred, they are not subject to exactly the same standards that regular foster families are, so they are usually processed more quickly. I would keep calling though, until you can get some sort of ETA. It''s important to know what you''re dealing with. A foster family I know had a baby placed with them because the dad was in jail and the mom dropped baby off at a sitter for a couple of hours but never came back. The sitter called child protective when she couldn''t contact mom and could no longer keep baby. Once child protective got involved, there were more issues with the baby''s home and she was...

A:  Is it illegal to get fired for calling off? NO, this is a perfect reason to fire you, absenteeism is the single largest reason for termination of employees in the US...... ''Then I recently told them I couldn''t work Fridays, Saturdays or Sundays and my store manager told me he was going to find someone else to work for me and take my hours and that he didn''t think he''d need me much longer. (which I don''t think he can do either)'' why would you think the manager can NOT do that? Q:

Why does it take so long to get a car title if you paid cash money for it from a dealership?

A:  The DMV issues titles, not dealers. With that in mind, if the dealer sent the fee and the paperwork to your DMV, it seems to me your beef is with the DMV and not the dealer. Normally, this would be the fault of the DMV. In your case, it sounds as if the dealer never had a title to submit for transfer to you after the purchase. You may have bought a stolen car, without your knowledge. If this is so, you can get any car you want, after your attorney is finished with the dealer. Dealerships are notoriously slow to get the title. They have your money. They con''t care. The state department of Motor vehicles is also a bottleneck for paperwork. Threaten them with legal action, ANGIE''S LIST, and a note of complaint to the local newspaper. Be prepared to carry out your threats. Type up a letter...
